In certain golf courses you have to learn to work the ball from right to left or the other way in order to shoot the lowest scores possible. Shotmaking is not as difficult to learn as many people will make you believe, you just need to understand what causes the ball to move a certain direction or what causes it to go low or high.
Golf fade tips:
Fading a golf ball involves trying to make it go slightly from left to right. Many golf holes are deliberated shaped in such a manner that a fade is necessary to hit the fairway and have an ideal shot into the green. The first thing to keep in mind in order to execute this shot is to make sure that your club face is slightly open during the address position. Also do not try to work the ball with short irons, instead hit draws and fades with longer clubs such as 7 iron and longer as the short irons are not good for putting side spin on the ball. Another tip to hit a fade is to open the stance slightly - this applies to right handed golfers. This will encourage an outside to in swing path that is ideal for generating fade spin on the golf ball. Also be sure to have a higher that normal finish as this will also promote a fade golf shot.
Golf draw shot tips:
The draw golf shot is the opposite of the fade and goes a little further in the air and also rolls more on the fairway than a fade. In order to hit a draw shot you want to close the club face slightly at the address position and also be sure to close the stance. This means that your feet will point to the right of the target as this will encourage an inside to out club head path which promotes the right kind of spin for a draw shot. Also try to have a lower than normal finish with your hands. Try the above golf shotmaking tips to help you learn the game faster and shoot lower scores.
